Something so fresh, it's still in BETA... PARTHAWKS!!

It's release day! And this one is a big one. It's been "in the making" for some time now, and it's coming to you sooner than expected - which means it's tagged "BETA", and your help is needed to make it great!

PARTHAWKS!

Up until now, BrickHawk has been about LEGO sets. Add a hawk to a set, receive a THEMEHAWK for a set from a particular theme, compare sets across retailers, etc. You know how it works!

Until now... now BrickHawk is learning about parts - the individual bricks (or elements) that we all love to build with. Each and every brick, tile, plate, minifig body, etc from LEGO has an Element ID, and BrickHawk is now able to send you alerts for these parts!

Simply add the Element ID of part you are waiting to come back in stock, or for more quantity to become available, and whenever the availability changes or the quantity increases, BrickHawk will send you a PARTHAWK! alert. 

Not only that, you can use the Parts page to quickly check the availability and price of a part across both the Bricks and Pieces and Pick-a-Brick stores, with one simple search!

This is a BETA

Normally a new BrickHawk feature will spend a few weeks in testing before it's released. "Testing" means that the feature is released to yours truly only, and I will use it and try and break it - and then fix it - before a (hopefully) bug-free feature is released further. 

This process has meant, for example, that you've been saved from an avalanche of SUPERHAWKS when during testing it went awry and sent thousands of emails for sets that never actually changed price! 

Whilst plenty of testing on PARTHAWKS! has been done over the last few days, rather than wait any longer to get the feature out, it's been tagged as "BETA", and it's now in your hands, ready to use! But you may find bugs, and hopefully you will have plenty of ideas on how to improve it, so please make sure you send through your thoughts and ideas on how to make it better :)

During BETA, the number of PARTHAWKS! you can add has been reduced to minimise the chances of an email avalanche. Right now, the following limits apply:

These limits are only whilst PARTHAWKS! is in BETA, and will increase once any issues are resolved and everything is considered "stable".

PARTHAWKS is available now at brickhawk.com/parts. If you are looking for the Element ID of a part to track, you can use sites like https://rebrickable.com/parts/ and https://brickset.com/parts. Or simply flick to the back of your LEGO instruction book and you will find the Element ID printed next to each part in the list of parts for your set!
