I made a Patreon...

Because I'm heading into a period where I'm gonna be lower profile while I work on new material. So if you've liked what I've done in the past and want to make it easier for me to focus on my work, feel free to chip in.

People have sometimes encouraged me to join Patreon so they could support my work. I've resisted because I never liked the idea of gatekeeping material for pay. I also worried it might feel like homework and lead to me producing stuff quickly and without the kind of care I'd like to put into it. But as I'm shifting into another creative phase and planning to be offline for a while, I decided if there were people that wanted to support what I do directly I should accept it gratefully. I don't plan to reward members of this community in an organized way-- I might release some stuff deep cut stuff here, potentially some BTS or journal entries, but this isn't that kind of Patreon. If you feel compelled to support me here just 'cause, that's awesome and I thank you deeply!

George, I want to take this time to formally thank you for being your badass self. Innovatively creative motivationally lyrically gifted intellectually inquisitive ferociously curious self. Also in case you don't know Albuquerque Isotopes are real the season is kicking off mid-march check them out if you haven't yet. πŸ’–

Hey man. In 2020-2021, I was living in 1 shared room of a 5 room house of Boise, ID. I had just gotten out of jail and was in a halfway home. Since then I've got a wife and 2 month old boy named Hudson. I had a lot of unrealistic prerequisites to having a kid because I thought I wouldn't be good enough, but one of my coworkers of my new job subtly slipped a check for $3000 into my car to help me assuage those fears. I've tried to pay him back but he told me he wouldn't accept and it was more a 'pay it forward' type thing. All Ive got to help you is this patreon, but if there's another way to better help you, lmk. I met my wife because of you, and my life has changed so damn much due to your art and your puzzles that I'm too distracted to interact in, but you mean a lot to me. I can't balance my karma over $10 a month, but I also can't pay $3000 outright. Reach out if there's a better way to make payments to you, because I feel like the catalyst of my life thus far is you bringing me and my newfound family together. Love you, -Makai
