Puzzle #34: Beast Mode (BEQ)
Added 2020-11-15 14:01:00 +0000 UTCWhen you're like me and you make a lot of puzzles, inevitably you will come up with practically the same theme. There will be that moment when you go, "hang on, this sounds familiar." Panic kicks in, and if we're going to continue this scenario, you won't be able to find whatever theme you are convinced you inadvertently came up with all over again. Now the panic kicks in even more so because wouldn't that just be like you to not be able to find such a puzzle because your file management isn't what it used to be. So, you give your test solver Jon Delfin a call on the phone. Now Jon's a solving machine who probably does roughly an infinite number of puzzles a day, minimum. So it doesn't exactly ring a bell either to him either, but does have a slight bit of recognition. But, with enough coaxing of each other's memory, you two are able to remember that other theme, and no, it's nothing like this one. Phew.
That actually happened with this puzzle. And the moral is: keep better records.
