More about my proposal to Brittany Ashworth

Back in 2013 I contacted actress Brittany Ashworth on Twitter (the star of Exhibit A) and proposed her to star in Be My Cat. She gave me the email of her agent. After I wrote a detailed proposal [read a fragment below, exclusively for Patrons], her agent declined and then Brittany Ashworth either blocked me on Twitter or made her profile private. One of the weirdest happenings related to Be My Cat. My guess is that she freaked out reading the concept. In the email I explained that she was going to play a British actress (like herself) convinced by a Romanian director (played by me) to come to Romania thinking that she's going to star in a real movie, when in fact it's the work of a psycho obsessed with Hathaway. I still somehow expected for them to understand the meta-cinema film-within-a-film structure and not freak out.

Here's a fragment of the email I sent to her agent in 2013, I'm only sharing it with you on Patreon, you'll see the different concept that Be My Cat had back then:

"I will make the movie in retroscripting, with a lot of improvisation. Filming will take place in Radauti, Romania. On short, it's about a young man (played by me) from Romania who becomes obsessed with Anne Hathaway after seeing her in the cat-woman role in The Dark Knight Rises. He learns English, makes an Indiegogo campaign, buys a video camera with the money, fools two actresses into thinking that he is making a movie and starts making a video especially for Anne, sends the video to her and then waits for a response. When the response is not coming (or the response comes, but it is not what he expected), he snaps, makes a second video where he pushes everything to extreme and hell breaks loose for him, the actresses and everybody around him in his small Romanian town. He even succeeds in convincing a British actress named Brittany to come to Romania, thinking that she is making a serious movie - and that's the role where I need Brittany Ashworth. The movie will be composed of those two videos, allegedly released by the police after the shocking incident. I may upload some parts in advance on YouTube for a viral campaign, even send the videos to Anne Hathaway's agent without specifying that it is a fictional movie, maybe we do get a response or some reactions from other people, and this will help spread the news about the movie and sell better."
