Should I continue to use the black background effect in my photos and footage?

I think in some shots parts of the case are in shadow so with a black background it merges a bit. Maybe try a few different lighter shades ?

I would say it all depends on the colours of the watch. Black may work with some and not so good with others, it's all about contrast and complementing the watch to show it in the best positive way, just my humble opinion.
