Obviously there's a shed load to discuss there, but the rest of UFC 287 gets a look-in too, before I jump into boxing with a deep dive on Tenshin Nasukawa's pro debut, Kenshiro overcoming a surprisingly plucky challenger, and some excellent lightweights from America.
Loooooooong sentence that...about as long as Sebastian Fundora, who was unfortunately splatted across the canvass by emerging contender Brian Mendoza this past weekend, which is the fight we end the podcast on.

I hope Alex goes to LHW and fights someone like Rakic or Krylov. Fuck it give him Johnny Walker for a laugh. And I’m glad I predicted Gastelum and Font to win. Didn’t do great overall (6/12) but those were two good shouts.

2023-04-12 17:56:11 +0000 UTCTechnical analysis notwithstanding, I think it is a perfect metaphor for the mental growth of Adensanya, at least with regard to Pereira, that he scored the knockout while in the exact same position that he got finished in in the previous bout. Obviously the shape of the fight went different, but it just feels very apt. Also, how discouraging (not to mention terrifying) must it be to make an adjustment between fights, holding centre cage and not be backed up or nullified into low output, then be kicked and pressured back into the fence anyway? And to still pull a counter off in that circumstance?? Glorious. I'm not that big of an Izzy fan but that was poetic. And great pod as always, sir.
