January 2023 updates!

Hello to you all and happy new year!

For those that are still patrons in a brand new year: thank you! 

Thought I’d give you all an update on what you can expect from the podcast this month.

On the general feed: I’ll probably just drop a pod after the pay-per-view and MAYBE if anything of any interest happens elsewhere (unlikely given the cards we have coming up) 

But this month will be focused on this here Patreon feed: as I have said before, I’m going to drop an exclusive podcast in the next week covering some fights from 2022 that I missed out on covering in real time, so want to tie a bow on the year by offering my opinions on them. 

But I’m sure what you’re most interested in is ‘The Guide to Pride 1’, which I’m happy to say is going pretty well at the moment. Today alone I’ve written three pages, and am now approaching the Pride part of the writing! You may be thinking, ‘wait, you haven’t even written about Pride yet’?! But that’s why this has taken me so long: to tell the story of Pride 1 I need to tell the story of so much more that came before it. 

I’m also really happy to say that in the last two weeks I have received so much more in the way of important research materials from two lovely patrons. This means I can expand the episode to feature even MORE important sources that will help to tell the story. 

I am determined to get this episode out before February 1st. I will be running on fumes to get it done, but The Guide to Pride 2 is coming up for March: and that’s one I want to get out for the actual 25th anniversary! (that one is much more straightforward and will be much shorter by the way!) 

Thanks to you all for your support, whether you’ve just signed up for the first time or whether you‘ve been (hopefully!) enjoying the content for a while, I cannot explain how much I appreciate it. Hopefully once The Guide to Pride drops you will see how much I value your patronage!
