Branching Out: A new podcast!
Added 2018-08-15 19:58:00 +0000 UTCAs it turns out, the type of videos I wanted to make were absurdly time-consuming while also holding down a real job. I'd like to go back to them, but it's just not feasible at present to crank them out with any sort of regularity worth paying for.
With that in mind, I've decided to go the much easier route of making a podcast! And if you're subscribed to me on Patreon at the $2 tier or higher, you'll get new episodes a week in advance! In fact, I'm putting up episode 2 as we speak!
Anyway, here's the elevator pitch:
You know those podcasts where every week the hosts do a sort of "book club" thing where they watch a movie or play a game and then talk about it clinically? Well, I like those, but they have a problem: sometimes they miss the forest for the trees, getting hung up on one specific part of their brief/rushed experience and not really understanding what made the thing great or why people like it so much.
My solution to this? Every episode, bring on a new guest who's in the thing's corner, who's thought about it for years and knows exactly what makes it so special! That way, you get my perspective, coming in with the purpose of analyzing it, and the other guy's perspective, coming in just as a big fan.
