I'm still alive, still here, and working. On more things than just content for here sadly, or maybe not.
As I mentioned in the previous post, I've been looking for jobs, quite a lot as inflation, recession, all those things hit me too, especially badly since I don't have an active employment anywhere, just you wonderful people supporting me.
I've been sending in applications when I saw opportunities. One of the most recent one I'm really hopeful about and if it works out and they hire me, I'll be moving countries. So be ready for that, but I'll announce it if it becomes a reality.
In the meantime I've dug myself into a pretty time sensitive project the last few weeks, which is now finished. It has taught me a lot about my approach to stuff in blender and highlighted many aspects I looked at with a warped lens.
So while I'm still working on the animation I promised, the sunscreen growth pool scene, I'll be making some changes to the base model and scene so it works better and more stable.
Hope to bring you all updates really soon, this time for real. (I'm sorry about that)

Yes.
I'm late again.
I won't try to cover it up with anything, the heat has been kicking my ass and hindering my work. I live in a one room apartment with no AC and been going through 35-39C (95-102F) days constantly. Even just my PC running is heating up the room so much, the inside temperature gets dangerously close to the outside. And at that point I'm not even actively working on anything. Imagine what it is like with my PC running on just half usage, not to mention full capacity.
But I've been working, as much as I could. I didn't progress as much with the animation as I wanted, which you probably suspected. The scene I'm working with turned out to be way heavier than at first glance. The house I'm using for it has some really weird modelling choices, huge number of extra detail that isn't necessary, but slows everything down.
So I've been working on cleaning that up, remaking windows, doors, railings, various aspects of the environment.
As a secondary hindrance I'm also getting screwed by the government, maybe not many of you know, I live in Hungary and our current (re-elected) government is cutting tax benefits and increasing living costs, much like other countries. Because of this I've been spending a chunk of my time looking for work, full time employment, because as much as I love to do this kind of work, it's not sustaining me full time, yet, and the chances of it happening soon are getting slimmer.
So yeah, it's been a bit of a rough patch, but I'm still here, working.
I'm sorry for the lack of updates, hope to show something worthwhile soon.

I've started working on the animation and making good progress on it, as much as possible.
This recent heat wave have slowed both me and my pc down a bit, making it harder to work, but I'm pushing through, no stopping!
These last few days I've been helping a friend pack and move so I've been a bit more busy, less time at the computer. Expect progress images early next week!

Here's the results of my vein painting and redness effect combined. I'm quite satisfied with it. The veins have two layers that can be individually adjusted and turned on or off, just like the redness effect.
One final pass of the character to see if all parts are in place and I can start blocking out the animation!

Finished the initial skin, hair and eye updates.
- Simplified the skin setup a bit, which surprisingly ended up looking better.
- Tweaked the hair, eyelash and eyebrow colors, plus fixed some blue hue due to subsurface poke-through.
- Fixed and re-enabled the tear material around the eye. It's almost invisible from this angle but will look really nice when it shows up
On top of this also uncovered and fixed some physics dependency loops. Should hopefully behave much more stable from now on.
The skin wetness effect is also under way, first few tests might get posted tomorrow. And also have a general idea how I want to approach the redness/veins effect.

Drum roll please... here are the results:
Sunscreen growth won the poll with a huge lead at 12 votes in total, so it will take the main focus for June as an animation project, for which I'll develop the wetness (and hopefully redness/veins) effect I mentioned.
In the shower got second place with 6 votes. If I find time during the month and can fit it in, I might make this into an image pack. This is a sizable "if". But if not this month, might level up to an animation (and image pack) in the future.
All of you who voted for In the Pool, don't be saddened, the idea isn't out of mind. I'll definitely come back to it down the line and will probably end up making an animation out of it. So it will be realized, just not right away this month.
Thank you for taking the time to vote, 16 of you did, that's pretty much 50% of my current supporters. A pretty amazing amount and I really appreciate it. We will do this for every big content decision from now on, as long as you keep up the interaction.

I want to give you some creative control over what comes next in terms of finished images, gifs and animations. At the same time I want to center it around a feature or idea I am most interested in working on, because then you get something you voted for, and I also enjoy working on it as much as possible.
So for June I want to focus on a wetness effect for Amanda's skin, and making it mostly dynamic, so it can be used in a lot of ways later down the line.
Here are the ideas that could work with it (images and animation):
In the pool - Amanda walks/swims around in the pool, splashing some water around before emerging and stretching by the water, letting her body drip and slowly dry off in the sun.
In the shower - More moody, Amanda is taking a shower, letting the water run down her body, glistening in the light, maybe pushing up against the glass wall of the shower, pressing her breasts into it.
Sunscreen growth - Amanda is sitting by the pool, enjoying the sun before applying some sunscreen to herself, rubbing it into her boobs mainly, before it causes a reaction and they swell, filling up. Her breasts could also turn more red in shade as the lotion works, which could be another feature being added alongside the wetness. This would of course a bit more development time on this idea.

As you can see in the gif, the animation is really coming together now!
All that's left is to fine tune the hands and fingers to feel realistic, rerun the simulations for the boobs and hair, and render it out.
Unfortunately I have to go offline for the weekend, again, so the final steps will have to wait until late Sunday and the days after.
It's close, almost done! Just a bit more to go. I really hope you're as excited as I am.

Work is getting close to the end on this first, "bigger" animation.
It's 690 frames, which puts it at 23 second, plus anything else I add to the beginning and end, like a title screen and the credit for all of the $10 Producers.
The animation work is mostly done, just some final things to polish up, and then setting it to render. I really hope to get it done before the end of this week!
On a side note, I'd greatly appreciate it if you shared the news around that I'm actively working on stuff, as numbers have been stagnating for the last while, mostly due to fluctuation on my part.
Maybe not all of you know this but I put all of it up on this 3D venture after finishing my degree last July, so this is what I'm trying do as a "day job", with no other source of income supporting me. For now I got by, but my saved up funds are quickly coming to and end, and as of right now I don't make enough to keep this going, without having to look for a 9-5 job.
Of course in an ideal world I wouldn't need to ask any of you for a penny, and I could just do this for the love of it, without having to worry about my survival. But that's not the world we live in, and as such I have to pay bills every month, like all of you do too.
I understand some of you might be in a similar situation as I am, and you still contribute, which I can't even express how much I appreciate. All I could ask is that you share my name around, let others know I'm worth supporting (if you do believe that), and help me get to a point where bills will no longer be an issue, so I can focus my full attention on this.

Work on the first image pack has been going steadily, as you can hopefully see.
For this first 'shoot' we will remain inside, in the bedroom, but even like this I'll be bringing you 3 different poses, captured in a total of AT LEAST 20 images!
I hope to get it done before the weekend, but also want to make sure the images live up to the quality I want to offer.
It being Easter this coming weekend, if I can't get it out before that, the release will have to wait until sometime middle of next week, as I'll be home with family once again.
I hope you're all happy with this preview and will enjoy the full pack, once it's done.

Here is today's work, although after rendering for 1h 10-ish minutes, it got a bit blurred by denoising, which I accidentally left enabled. So I'll have to redo-it once I get the rest of the angles set up.
But it might give you all an idea of the quality and style I'm aiming for.

Been silent for a bit, but work is going strong.
Got the soft body tuned in now, shape, size and motion.
While I'm working to clothe her, I'll start working on the first proper photoshoot, set in a bedroom of the house I picked out for scenery.

Took me a bit to find a way to have the boobs interact with the rest of the body.
As weird as it sounds, they were "exploding" in size if I simply turned the collision on for the body.
Still have to tweak the settings to get a bit more of a faker look, something I wanted from the start.
