I'm gonna try and start doing this at least once a week. I'm not exactly the best at keeping to a schedule, but I'm doing the work pretty publicly, so hopefully that will help me keep myself accountable.
To sart with, hello everyone and welcome. As of today I'm more than 2/3 done with the outline for what will be the first release. It won't take me long to turn that into dialogue, but the art will take quite a while because I still have a lot to do in familiarizing myself with Studio Neo. Because of that, I'm gonna hold off on the art side of things until after I finish putting together the overall outline. With 5 major branches, 7 primary companions, and plans for an interestting quest system that will carry you through it all, I have my work cut out for me. I want to be sure that I know exactly what comes next at all points so that I don't end up starting a new release and having a hard time figuring out how to start.
With luck, I'll have the rough outline for the full game done within the next 30 days or so. After that I'll try and make sure the first act is a little more fleshed out, which shouldn't take too long, but I don't wanna put a number on that till I'm there. When that is finished, I'll focus, finally on the art for the first release. That one is likely to be much bigger than subsequent ones, and it'll be where I'm working on familiarizing myself with the tools the most, so I don't wanna give an exact timeframe, but I'm assuming no less than 4 months at that point.
Obviously, I'll keep this space updated on the progress and adjust expectations as necessary, but this is my hope as of now.
