New Patron Perk!
Added 2018-11-29 15:00:08 +0000 UTCIt's long overdue, but I finally got automatic syncing enabled. This was a promised feature for just after the 1.2 release but I ran into some issues with performance and bugs and just wasn't happy with how it worked.
After re-writing things a few times I now have a fairly robust sync in place. The core logic has always worked well but it would only run when you connected to beestat. It would take about 2-3 seconds per week you were away to catch everything up.
Opening beestat will still run a catch-up sync, but now it also runs while you're away at a frequency determined by how long ago you were active. Here's the breakdown:
Active less than 6 hours ago
Everyone: Thermostats - 5m, Sensors - 5m, History - 10m
Active less than 24 hours ago
Non-Patrons: Thermostats - 6h, Sensors - 6h, History - 6h
Patrons: Thermostats - 5m, Sensors - 5m, History - 10m
Otherwise
Non-Patrons: Thermostats - 1d, Sensors - 1d, History - 1d
Patrons: Thermostats - 1h, Sensors - 1h, History - 1h
These numbers may change slightly, but Patrons will always have the edge. Note that keeping beestat open on your browser counts as being active. So if you leave beestat open you should notice the thermostat and sensor cards automatically update every 5 minutes or so now. Presently the graphs do not auto-update.
