Eden Lake is one of those films that's always really stuck with me, it's always the first one that comes to my mind when I think of bleak movies. When I was in college we did a module on shocking cinema, and we had to show example scenes and discuss them, and I picked that film, though someone else showed mufasa's death in the lion king, so there were very different vibes haha 😂
