Coordinated Geography
Added 2024-07-10 08:05:13 +0000 UTCHello. I'm Tom Chapman, and you may remember me from previous blog posts, or that time I was repeatedly referred to by my full name on Twitter over some debacle with icons from and based on Bungie's Destiny video game.
Maps
You may have read previously that I had been waiting for something to happen before I could start updating Braytech's Maps with new content. That something has happened, and Maps have now been updated with new content. Huzzah!
It was a furious week, especially on the front end, of scurrying around The Pale Heart, screenshotting, collecting, and cartographing its many objectives. It's a strange activity which I simultaneously find stressful–to release the work as fast as possible–and very satisfying.

Fireteams
It's been a long time coming: I've finally integrated fireteam status into triumphs. There's a bunch of technical considerations to be made here. The structure of Bungie's API makes this data expensive and flimsy (I hope no one gets angry at me).
Being able to readily, at a glance, see the shared state of each triumph is so useful to raid runs for family fun nights and sherpa shenanigans alike.
Similarly, I've added a basic fireteam roster to the friends blade (popover UI, but I like the term blade because it reminds me of the Xbox 360 glory days). My plan is to extend this part of the friends blade to allow users to rapidly see facts such as a fireteam member's loadout.

Well, that's your lot. See you next week on Gardening Australia

2024-07-10 15:49:50 +0000 UTCSome superb work Mr. Chapman! Firmly believe there isn’t a better looked-after third party API than this one right here. So much care and afterthought into functionality as well as design, sublime!
