April Update

My editor is still working through episode 5. When I get the episode back, it will take me a day to consider the amendments, then record the remaining 6 scenes for the podcast. You'll get it as soon as possible. No early access this time.

In other news I am collecting the final shots required for the test scene. Because of the quality of the animation and hopefully my ability, I can extend what is watchable.

I have collected a 4k version of the EndGame episode to make a 20 year old show fit in terms of resolution to the animation we're creating. That's 3-4 minutes in length, then the first scene, credits sequence (also in 4k by another YouTube artist). From a (currently*), 1hour 40 minute first episode, we will have approximately 13 minutes to share online to showcase and get others involved if they decide to donate.

I recently received a review which made a point about pacing of the first few episodes. This provoked me to go back and listen again with a fresh pair of ears and I am shocked at the quality. So I've taken it upon myself to redo all the audio again one final time and formalise more of the process for consistency sake.

So for the first 4 episodes, they've been re-edited, I've dropped the word count without changing the story, just tightened up some narrative and dialogue, which would make for a shorter episode but the pacing on the audio side will lengthen the episode. *Caretaken for example is now 9 minutes longer with 4 scenes left to recreate even though it is 400 words shorter.

Please note there is a Discord which I've been using to post regular updates because it's easier than doing it here. But In May I'll be back to posting once every week again. Thank you for your support once again.

Some of the animation can be repurposed for promo material. The above is an example. Originally, this shot of Janeway is full body standing in the turbolift. I liked this version so much I've asked the current Janeway artist to redraw her uniform into the modern Admiral version to show that my story will get us to where we see Kathryn in Star Trek: Nemesis.

But I noticed Janeway is a Vice Admiral in Nemesis (that's 3 pips). I can't realistically get her to 3 pips (I think unless you have ideas). I was going to promote her to a lower form of Admiral and let our imaginations fill in the gaps that she did other tasks in the short time between Endgame and Voyager to reach the higher rank.
