Voice Work - Episode 1 Chapter 4
This is a preview of the scene from 'Caretaken' I will later add into the full episode. Working with the voice actor now and he will play Admiral Paris and hopefully Admiral Patterson.
The voice actor is called Alan McGill and is also a podcaster himself, you can find his audio drama in the link below if you enjoy fantasy with some mystery.

Corridors and Chakotays
The VFX artist is working on filling out the corridors. As a test, we've reused some imagery of Janeway to simulate walking down the corridor. Also as an aside, I've included the first image of Chakotay from the artist and the test shot from the VFX artist.
To save money, I will try to reuse some shots from other scenes. The Janeway image for example is used in a promo image and its a close up shot from when she enters the turbo lift.

Preview of first 2 scenes
I've spent an age looking for the right background sounds for this intro. I've recorded the first 3 scenes and if all goes well, the entire episode will be released Friday. I've reworked everything from the first episode. Adding:
- Re-edited the writing, cutting out around 500 words tightening the story.
- Added more sound effects (B'Elanna's baby can be heard now for example)
- Adjusted the background sounds.
- Re-voiced all the audio spoken (I've learnt a lot in the past 2 years).
- Adjusted the pacing which in turn increased the episode's length by about 10 minutes.

April Update
My editor is still working through episode 5. When I get the episode back, it will take me a day to consider the amendments, then record the remaining 6 scenes for the podcast. You'll get it as soon as possible. No early access this time.
In other news I am collecting the final shots required for the test scene. Because of the quality of the animation and hopefully my ability, I can extend what is watchable.

This would have been the scene to share in the promo, but the process of collecting sound effects would have taken too long. That's what I'm currently doing now.
I've hit the word limit of episode 5 (7500) and there are 8 scenes, 5 of which are about Tom and B'Elanna, so this is very much their episode overall. The other 3 scenes belong to Icheb's classmates, Janeway and Seven.

These are the first completed renders of janeway for the first few minutes of the first scene.
The next task is to put her properly into the completed backgrounds and if I have time create the voice over before receiving the Harry Kim images.
The head shot is another pose to provide a basic animation while Janeway is contemplating.

I won't be able to get episode 4 out by the end of November. I've spent last week trying to find the background sounds and because there aren't any on YouTube (step 1 is scan YouTube for any good relevant uploads), I've resorted to making my own. To give you an idea of what that is like:
Download the items from somewhere else, taking around 3 days (as I went with downloading the entire series to make it simple for later editing).

The VFX artist I've hired has sent me the first collection of images from his build out of Voyager and for an eventual test video visualizing the first scene from the first episode. (Scene 1 is on the bridge).
First image is the earliest one generated and each proceeding one is Andrew working and layering over the basics, slowly filling out the details like fabrics and lighting and then the computer consoles.
