Plan going into 2022

You've received episode 4, and I can relax a little. For the public version all I need to do is add the credits, which will be released in late January (along with the promo for episode 5).

From now on as I become more organised, I'll release both so there is always an up to date promo episode in the podcast feed with the latest episode and you'll get the episodes when they are done.

Before episode 4 is out publicly, I will be working on the writing of episode 5, already just under half way there with 6 chapters outlined. The episode focuses on Tom and B'Elanna and at the moment there is a Janeway chapter there (at home in Bloomington).

Let's assume that comes out on the public feed in April. You'll get it sometime before that.

I'm also dropping the word count for each episode to 7500, down from 8000 in episode 4, and 8500 in episodes 2 and 3. This is to better adjust the episode to the TV show run time, but also for pacing reasons and make this easier for me.

Speaking of making it easier for me, I'm going to try and spend 2 hours maximum each day on the podcast. Some days I find myself spending 7-8 hours on an episode and I think it's affecting my sleep!

:-D

Behind the scenes I'm dealing with the VFX artist, two illustrators (for the YouTube episode) and I'm bringing some writers onboard to give me feedback and help plot out the story.

Aside from that:

I'm going to work on some AI software to change my voice and create character realistic voices for the dialogue in the show. I'll do this for older episodes as well.

I'm going to try and switch the audio creation to my mac. I'm reaching the limits of what an iPad can do and the developer isn't updating the app in ways that make editing easier for me. He is a one man operation also. I regularly pester him for what he's up to or point out some things I'm asking of the developer. In the meantime it will be simpler to write, record and edit everything on one device instead of two.

As you can see, I have a lot to do besides of my job, and 4 other podcasts. I also want to create a 6th podcast, sort of like where the star trek book reviews and episode reviews can go, instead of this podcast.

Anyway, thank you for the continued support and stay safe and healthy.
