A new plan
Added 2024-11-28 11:33:07 +0000 UTCI’m going to slightly change up my publishing schedule as follows:
Create widescreen videos for each question and publish them on Patreon. Patron’s get early access and the chance to tell me if something makes no sense or if the pace is off and the music is too loud.
When I have completed an episode (like the godzilla missing arc I just finished) I will publish the whole thing to YouTube.
I then publish the parts of the episode to all the other platforms, while working on the next one.
I aim to do two questions a week, and each episode normally has 4-6 questions, and sometimes a conclusion part which is a bit different. So that should lead to an episode every 2-4 weeks (building in a little buffer for occasional laziness).
This is partly to encourage people to become Patrons or watch on YouTube (the only platform that pays me for views). But also I think I can create better paced more cohesive episodes this way, and hope it will result in a higher quality end product.
In a lot of ways I’ve been treating these videos as a kind of extended first draft, throwing every idea I have out there and not letting my artistic limitations or a desire for perfection get in the way. I don’t want to stop that, I just want to give myself a chance to land those ideas in the best way I can.
If you think this plan sucks or have any suggestions for making it better I'm all ears.

I like the shorter insta stories. However I really despise insta greed and want to abandon it so bad. I'll watch the YouTube videos instead in smaller doses, as the little stories seem to linger in my brain nicely
