Moving On, but also...

I wanna thank all those who stuck around for as long as they did. Even those of you who simply are procrastinating leaving. It still touches me just how many fans we accrued at our peak. But the time has come for me to make the decision. Within the next few weeks, I am shutting down the Patreon. It's kinda just a source of stress for me more than anything and I would rather not have to upkeep it anymore. Thanks to some amazingly generous fans, the WHOLE library has been backed up on Internet Archive and I have that pinned on Twitter. It's been a blast, but if I'm gonna move forward, it's best I don't stick around with Explode When Defeated.

Instead, I have decided to revive my old personal Patreon, It's Only Magic! I am hoping to relaunch it this friday and Cody and I have already been hard at work on a suite of stuff that we hope fans will really enjoy. Our first main series will be Stephen's Kings: a podcast in which we watch and review every SINGLE adaptation of Stephen Kings works. Movies, TV Shows, stage plays(?), GAMES!? It's quite an ocean of trash and we are happy to dive right in and give it that same magic we gave to the Toho monster films. Other than that we got more Shit Shooters every other week and some more fun bonuses with myself, Cody, and artist and friend Wayne as well!

I understand if it's a hard sell. Trust me, it took a LOT of mental energy to prepare even this much, but Cody and I are in a really good flow after doing the Transformers movies, Bibleman, and now 4 pre-recorded episodes of Stephen's Kings. I'll share the first two episodes of the new show here and on the free feed as well as our new Shit Shooters (hopefully tomorrow), but after that...we say goodbye to this lovely beast of a show.
