A cascade of visual splendor while also being possibly Kon's most straightforward film, Paprika is a sort of vexing case and unintentionally a sort of fitting send-off to the career and life of a person who always seemed one or two steps ahead of everyone else.
We let the most recent poll for the next miniseries go longer than I think will be usual, just because of the holidays and our break and all that, but in a stunning turnaround our winner is Fucked Up Fantasy! Next time around we'll be talking about a small curation of films that were ostensibly made for children but had some really weird messed up stuff in them. Kids movies that make 7 year olds cry, basically. And uh... We'll be starting that up with an episode on none other than Watership Down! So strap in, the year of the rabbit has surely arrived.
