Update to Patreon Goals! (1/2/23)

I wish I could've thrown this in yesterday's post but oh well!

Wyatt and I had a meeting last night about our goals for this year and we've finally decided on some new goals for the Patreon that we think will be pretty additive to the whole experience here, and pretty fun to boot! You can go look at them right now but I'll also detail them here.

We're floating around the mid-400s lately but when we get to $500 a month, we'll be adding a new regular feature of the Patreon in the form of a regular column by Wyatt! He wants to exercise those writing muscles a little more so he had the idea of throwing his hat in the ring of patreon posting by throwing out some opinion pieces and even excerpts of his fiction that he's mentioned a few times on Shit Shooters, for any avid listeners of that show. Once we reach the goal I think we'll decide if this'll be biweekly or monthly, but we'll def strive to make it a regular part of our post rotation here. It's a pretty great idea on Wyatt's part so I'm pretty particularly stoked about it. 

Something we've talked about wanting to do for a while has been the idea of taking the main show, currently Discuss All Monsters, into a weekly format instead of bi-weekly but we've never quite felt comfortable enough to swing it... However, if you guys get us to $700 a month, we'll be in a position to start making the show weekly! This will involve a bit of a schedule change so as to not collide with our patreon miniseries or other things like my other show Human Insects, but as patrons you'll also be getting the episodes a full week early rather than just a day early! This would be a pretty big shift for the show and what we do here but I think if we're making that amount we'll be able to swing it and make this thing even greater.

Lastly, this one's a bit of a silly one but it would be a HUGE undertaking, so we feel like the price is justified lmao. If you guys get us to $900 a month, we will start preparing a series exploring all of Legend of the Galactic Heroes, the so-called Final Boss of Anime. Maybe we'll get some guests to hang out for some episodes, who knows. We'll try and make it a huge thing lol. Neither of us are huge diehards of the show but we've been pretty confident for a while that we'd dig the hell out of it so this would truly be an adventure for all of us and it'd be a HUGE thank you to the community. Galactic, even! 

So yeah, just a little update on some of our far-flung plans for our little thing that we're doing here. We feel really good about it! We even talked a little bit about what comes after Discuss All Monsters, wink wink, but we'll detail those plans another time. Let us know what you think of the new goals!
