Simply put, this film is emotionally overwhelming. It's a love letter to art, artists, audiences, and the film history of 1900's Japan. It's also a meditation on how we remember people through their work and goddamn it I'm about to cry again typing this. Anyways Wyatt and I did a podcast about this wonderful movie and dug into all the things that we could possibly think of that make it as good as it is. Enjoy the podcast!
