10/26/2022 Explode When Defeated Miniseries Poll

After about two years of podcast miniseries on this humble yet prolific Patreon, we are now opening the choice of subject matter up to YOU, the all-powerful Patron. We've decided on three subjects we'd like to tackle for our $5 tier, each highlighting a particular strong suit of our podcasting abilities. Now I'm going to describe each option in as dry language as I can manage so as to not influence your picks lol.

The first option is another director deep-dive into the works of Satoshi Kon, we'll be following his feature films in chronological order. Very straightforward. We'll have to do episodes on his shorts and Paranoia Agent at a later date.

The second option, that we've dubbed "Fucked Up Fantasy" is a series we've had in our pocket for a while. It's on movies that are definitely meant for kids but are also completely horrifying and borderline traumatic for developing minds. A couple picks are personal picks from our own memories, a couple of the others are more general. 

Option three is a sort of pseudo-sequel to our series on Roger Rabbit and similar movies. That series ended with Space Jam 2, which was kind of a giant show of force by Warner Bros for all of the Intellectual Property that they're in control of. We'll be following that thread and looking at other movies that do a similar thing.  Movies that barely have an elevator pitch outside of showing off just how many references they're legally allowed to pack into a movie without having to contact some other guys at a different megacorp. 

All movies would be covered in order of release, and we'll be keeping certain ideas in the rotation for next time around if your choice doesn't win this current poll. Also, if you guys have further ideas for miniseries, we'll consider them for future polls and we'll all vote on it!

We'll be announcing your chosen next miniseries in the post for our final episode of our Mel Brooks deep-dive, so look out for that next Friday!
