Upcoming: Week 3 2021

Pre-production on the audio manager & player is in full swing! I'm going through all the data you folks provided via the first Gaining Insight polling as well as working on mockups in Inkscape. I'm expecting to publish a post late tomorrow expecting to cover:

1. My thoughts on the data and feedback provided
2. Early insights on the user experience / flow, first revision mockups for sections I've designed so far.
3. Early development goals and priorities
4. Various fundamentals related to this project and future ones (e.g. toolkit possibilities, programming language, various libs, etc.)

But as a simple teaser, here is basically revision 0a (as in, not even finished as "first" revision) of the Local Library section of Music. I just ask that:

1. You don't jump to any conclusions or comment like crazy on various parts until my post tomorrow please. There will be plenty of time to make UX tweaks, redesigns, etc. This isn't like GNOME 40 where they basically redesign it, tell you about it, and by then it's too late to give feedback. There's going to be a healthy feedback loop, even if we don't agree on various parts I will still be listening.
2. Keep in mind that there will be a "less fancy" traditional artist / song / album list in addition to the "fancy" one shown below. You will be able to choose between them.
3. There will be a light theme and the contrast on both the dark and light themes will and can be tweaked!

Onto other items, I want to hear from all of you on what you'd like to see for misc. content, posts and development updates. I'm up for random Q&As, doing live streams on Twitch where I'm learning C (historically I've stuck to Go, TypeScript, Vala -- but I have some familiarity with C), or even more meaningful things like what you're all contributing for -- development! Just trying to make sure I'm not spamming you all 🙂
