Our dear friend and fellow Evangelion fan Cody joins us from this point onward to talk through our revisiting of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

This time we talk about the section of the show that a lot of fans regard (or used to regard?) as the weakest part of the show, where things get "stale" and fit into a monster of the week format. We immediately get into why that notion is silly before delving deep into the excellent spider-web that is the character relationships in this batch of episodes. We talk about Asuka's stirring introduction, Misato's past mirroring Shinji's, Kaji's penchant for trouble, the dizzying romantic and sexual tensions throughout the younger and older divisions of the cast, Ritsuko's womanhood, Shinji's tense confrontation with himself and MUCH much more!
