Page 61: Salvation

I was there when you posted your first page on Reddit. You have a story-teller’s touch, and it has been a great joy to see your artistic talent improve as you brought this tale to life. I’ve never even seen a single episode of Spongebob and yet I was entranced right from the start: looking forward to updates in the BBH was a bright spot in my week, especially in 2020. I hope you keep telling stories and, as Gaiman said, “making good art.”

Well it’s not quite over yet ;) epilogue will go over what’s happened and what will happen next. Thanks for being here for it!

Thank you! I definitely felt at time like I was putting more work into it than I needed to but you’re right. It’s something I love and care about so I couldn’t help myself. Especially on these last pages. Getting every rock to look like it had real physics to it. Making the lava look as real as possible, getting the lighting effects perfect. I just wanted to make it the best it could be!

So I’ve already started a story called Grandmother’s House that you can find on here. It’s kind of a fantasy horror about a village that needs to send pilgrims into an evil wood. So far I’ve completed the prologue and will be releasing more once BBH is finished. I have a few other story plans lined up as well as an idea for a series of holiday themed horror tableau’s accompanied by some short stories or poems. So stay tuned for more updates!

Haha I’d say take all those old Reddit comments with a grain of salt. But the story really isn’t over yet so you’ll still have to wait and find out.

What a ride this has been. Glad it ended on a somewhat happy note.

Man I loved every second of this, this could be an incredible animation series too. You can really see the improvements over the course of the series and how much love you put into it. I love to see creators/artists really care about their stuff. Proud to have gotten to see this and see it done so well. I hope you and I could work together in the future, this is the kind of stuff I love to connect with. I know the epilogue is gonna be insane.

If you’re willing to talk about it at all, what do you plan to create after BBH? Anything similarly eldritch and dark?

Beautiful comic. I've been reading it since page 3 was released and I've thoroughly enjoyed it all the way through considering Spongebob was my entire childhood and I enjoy horror. These last few pages have been great especially Page 60, that one was just pure awesome. And I love this page too. Perfect ending. I'm excited to see the epilogue too. Although I remember you said in the comments of one of the pages on reddit that we shouldn't count on a happy ending. So I'm kinda scared to see what the epilogue brings. Or did you change your mind on the ending?
