I prolly coulda brought them up a bit more - maybe that's something to rectify in Part 3 along with Tesla - but I feel like my own anti-Great White biases got in the way with that lmao

Just finished watching-great work as always! Looking forward to the final part. One small nitpick-where’s Great White? You mention their manager a few times, but hardly any mention of them. I’m not saying they’re a great (or even good) band, but Rock Me and Once Bitten, Twice Shy were huge back in the day. Anyways, thanks again and keep up the great work!

Just One Before I Die

Already shared with them part 1

Also some thoughts on this part: you do an excellent job in looking at the deeper context of the PMRC hearings and as well as the cultural, political and social milieu of LA, America and the world during this period. This is something those numerous VH1 docs on this topic never cover at all. Two, I appreciate how you covered the glam metal releases for this period. I do hope for part three you include Tesla who did release their first two albums in this period, but I think would make more sense to discuss for the final part (along with Tyketto and Saigon Kick). Three, you make a great argument as to why glam metal was going to decline at the start of the 1990s, highlighting some bands that were just a copy of a copy from Pretty Boy Floyd to Danger Danger (you’ll probably have the same things to say for Steelheart and Firehouse), and the very offensive behavior of the acts. And finally, when coming to grunge, I will honestly admit I am not a fan of this genre. While I do respect the acts and their music, I feel (just my own opinion) the grunge style has put rock music in a stranglehold over the past thirty years and not allowed the genre to re embrace the more slicker aspects of pop. Also on another note for part 3, I figure you will go a bit beyond 1991 to look at glam metal’s full decline to the mid 1990s? Anyway, apologies for this long comment. I had a lot to say. I look forward to your response.

Thanks once again for all of your efforts in putting this together, Rezi! Happy to say I'll be spending my work day watching this at my desk (in between appearing to look responsible). Will do my best to reply with my thoughts once I've finished up. Congrats in advance!! 👏
