They said it so often and it was usually the same phrase that I picked it up listening to them all those years in the evangelical movement. I am proud to say I never faked a prayer language. It was a fight between me and my stepmom that I didn’t have one but I never did. 🤷🏻♂️

The “demon” will claim responsibility for someone’s addiction, wrath, or sexual sins but only to an acceptable extent. They never admit to murder. They never admit to r*pe. They never admit to illegal pornography. If demon possession was real, and not faked or a manifestation of mental illness, these confessions would result in calls to the police. But instead it’s just softball sins that make the congregation go “awwww. Poor man”. That’s how you know it’s all theater.
