Don't write yourself off yet...

Where were these underwear parties when I was in high school?!? Ok, fine, it's a 'reverse-nightmare' where you go somewhere and you're in your underwear and everyone else is clothed, but still. I really would have wanted to go to one of these. Who's with me? Anywho....

Good evening, y'all. I hope that you week is off to a great start on this Monday evening. I want to start off saying thank you to each and every one of y'all for the support. I hope that you never get tired of hearing that, because I will never not be grateful to y'all. So thank you all!

The next few weeks are going to be...well...wonky. There are a host of things going on that have the schedule of content in serious flux, so I just want to let all of you know.

Let's start with this week:

The Essen Preview podcast (and videocast on YouTube) with Rahdo is coming. It's going to be later this week due to scheduling issues, but you're going to be getting it soon, I/we promise!

For the live-streams, the only thing I can commit to this week is Friday and what that's going to be, I just don't know. The reason for that is that Wednesday, I have my first therapy session with who will, hopefully, be my therapist going forward. So I just don't want to schedule anything for Wednesday because I don't know how 'heavy' that's going to be on me.

Then on Thursday, Jess is scheduled to go into surgery to remove pre-cancerous cells in her uterus. Obviously, I'm going to be there and my priority following that is to take care of her. It's on her insistence that we stream something on Friday, but that may or may not include her, obviously, which also goes for the early part of next week as well.

The only locked-down stream is Friday, October 18th, - Throne of Allegoria (from Spielworxx). I would also like to stream a GTR, Patron-Only game of Intrigue, possibly on Thursday, October 17th. And then there is Pax Transhumanity and High Frontier 4. Those may be before Essen, or closely following it after Spiel ends. TBD on that.

We're leaving for Spiel/Essen on Monday, Oct 21 and will be returning to HCHQ the following Monday, Oct 28. The hope is to record some audio while there as well as picking up a plethora of games to ship home. Depending on availability, I'm going to have Joel (podcast editor phenom) edit the audio and James (graphics and website extraordinaire) upload those while I'm on the road.

On top of all that, there's the ugliest, most highly-contested child custody battle going on behind the scenes that both Jess and I have been dealing with for the better part of a year. I haven't shared any of this with anyone outside of the local game group, because, frankly, it's personal and I don't like to make excuses. I feel like I should be able to handle everything at the same time, ya know?

So that's it. That's what is currently going on here. I wanted to brief y'all on all of this as, if it were me, I'd want to know. The Herd has always been an amazing community and so bringing y'all in on this just felt right and Jess agreed. 

Now that that is out in the open, it's back to the games y'all. I'll see y'all on Friday for another play-through. Keep an eye out on Slack, social media, and such for when the podcast episode is dropping and I'll see y'all on Friday!
