Ruang's Rapid 48 Hour Escalation Timeline
Added 2024-04-26 03:57:46 +0000 UTCOn April 16th, 2024, the Ruang volcano in Indonesia produced a volcanic eruption with little warning. This grew in intensity until a powerful plinian eruption occurred less than 48 hours later. I plan to make a far longer post detailing several interesting & notable aspects of this VEI 4 eruption. However, one of my patrons wanted me to post the full timeline which was cutoff by my end-video graphics. This is the relevant graphic:
Any thoughts? I will answer any questions posed about the eruption in my next longer post.

Speaking of Indonesian volcanoes, there's a YT channel by an Indonesian guy who flies his drone up to many volcanoes there. Unfortunately, there are no English subtitles but the visuals are spectacular. It's @kbsvlog5270 - I recommend taking a look if you haven't.
