Pledging in euro and british pounds now available

Everyone in the UK, and the EU can now pledge my Patreon in their local currency of Euros (€) or British Pounds (£). This will help prevent you paying extra conversion fees from your bank or card when pledging in a currency that’s not your own. (full disclosure, the conversion fee will be charged to me, and you won't be paying an extact 1:1 conversion rate. Patreon is setting its own conversion rates in this thing they call "the price book" which you can check over here: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044469871#h_348b59dc-b09f-4fae-9a73-87059604140e
This is their formula and reasoning when it comes to determining those rates:
Any new visitors to my page will see my tiers priced in their local currency of €, £, or $. For those of you who would like to switch your preferred currency you can follow these steps:
- On Patreon.com, hover over your avatar in the top right of your screen.
- Click Manage memberships.
- Find this page, and click Edit.
- Under Currency, choose your preferred currency.
- Click Update to save your settings.
For those of you outside of these currencies, or who are in the US and are paying in USD, you’ll continue to see your pledge priced in USD, and there's nothing you need to do 👌
