Ultraplanar and Beyond (The future of this Patreon — please read!)

TL;DR: I'm going to be uploading a ton more content, and with that content I'll also be restructuring the way the Patreon tiers work and also changing the Patreon to Subscription Billing. If you don't want to be at your current tier every month, please feel free to reduce your pledge or un-patron. I appreciate sticking with me for as long as you did and don't blame you at all for leaving/reducing pledges!

Hey everyone, sorry for how long it's been since I've last given y'all an update. For reference, I have posted some updates in the Discord (link your Discord account to Patreon to gain access), but I haven't been posting here cuz I didn't really know what to do with it anymore since I wasn't ever doing charges cuz I wasn't ever actually completing the stuff I was meant to do each cycle.

Since then, I've kinda figured out what I need to be doing, with regards to my writing — I just can't write on demand, honestly. It's just not something that works with my brain. I can finish stories, even stuff I'm working on in the long term, but I can't if I'm requiring myself to do it and esp. if I'm requiring myself to do it in a specific amount of time. That just causes me to burn out on a story.

So... Where do we go from here?

Previously, this Patreon was structured around me treating it like a job, but since I can't really treat writing like a job, and it has to be a hobby that people can support me for instead, I'm going to be restructuring everything to facilitate that. The current tiers will be deprecated, and the new tiers will be:

• $1 for Discord access, and all previous stories I've posted to Patreon.
• Tiers higher than that will grant access to stories at those price points on itch.io. (IE, Extra Credit for an Eldritch Horror is priced at $3, so it, and future chapters I release here for it, will be available here at the $3 tier.)
• $10 for access to a selection of WIP stories/notes/outlines (I can't promise all because I can't promise I'll remember all lmao.)

The billing method will also change to Subscription Billing.

The reason I'm doing this is because going forwards this Patreon is going to be more about supporting me and my writing than actually paying for my writing, or something. That's why in the TL;DR above I said I don't mind if you reduce your pledge or cancel or whatever. It's inherently less value — I get it!

To note for those staying, I'm not entirely sure how the change to Subscription Billing will actually work, bcuz I actually have to submit a support request to Patreon due to previously using the "charge per-post" model. In case it causes an instant charge when they make the change, I'm going to request it sometime next week, I think? Hopefully it'll mean the next charge is the first of December though. That would be the cleanest I'd say.
