Wow, thanks for the thoughtful answer to my Q! Thanks also for your perspective on UK politics. Being stuck in America, I am exposed to so little political news from outside our microcosm. I envy the fact that your right-wing party has imploded. America could never!! It sounds like your Labour Party is similar to our Democratic Party, in that they keep being handed silver platters full of opportunity, then proceed to dump that opportunity into the fire and try to eat the platter. I share your concern for the increasing polarization of politics in our interconnected societies. We need real parties that actually represent labor, and are not bought out by corporate interests.
