Edit: Realized the temp boon upgrade was listed here for 1 coin when it's written down on the storefront chapter earlier as 3 coins - which is correct. Three coins is the cost for that one, but can't edit the choices here.

I'll work out the best combination from the top winners in this poll. I don't guarantee the top picks end up in the final draft, but I will be heavily influenced by the results of this poll.

Difficult choices... Rentability vs. Risk vs. Liquidity; Inner Lootgoblin says extra chest, extra difficulty, extra Life. Inner Accountant says extra Life, Upgrade boon, alchemy room (if medy can use it). (And apparently the inner Poet makes it all rhymn)

Frankly, he low rolled his boon this time around, because its condition is awful (needing to kill something) in all single-enemy fights. No way around it. [5] The water boon is insane now that he can load up on more explosives, and is probably competitive with dodge roll for best in slot default. [5?] The retry is going to be mandatory, but probably not in the coming round– as long as he isn't interacting with other players (highly unlikely given next round is likely to be entirely exploiting arcane realm), he is fine. Invasion is unlikely as long has he doesn't run challenge mode. (if he does, he really needs to take the retry) [1] Extraction loot is very cost efficient. [1] Minimap seems abusable as far as combat goes (if it tells you where enemies are when obstructed, it's pretty broken). He has an issue right now where making progress is going to be incredibly difficult from his current position in the next round. Recommend [1] Challenge Questline which will likely give him some direction on how to get out and some coin profit, but definitely not Challenge Mode, which is likely to put him under another invasion which we saw he is completely unprepared for (and his boon this time is a much weaker roll). It seems generally like the quests are all *possible* (in hindsight, all of them were from last round), even if difficult. I think the single round upgrades are completely overlooked: it feels bad buying temporary power, but it can reveal the upgrade before spending 7 on it to make it permanent, and we've established that the rarities are based on normal usage of the boon, not exploitative usage. Would recommend spending the 1 coin on both boons he brings into the next round. That's 10 coins. Without Medy *in the next round* which I doubt she will agree to given he's stuck in the arcane realm rn, I don't think it's worth going for the retry of the lab quest. Asking her for information before making that choice could make that change. If the mythic lootbox random boon can be made permanent in the normal way post round, it's actually a serious contender for this run because again, his random boon is a low roll.

I’d use the upgrade boon on the Dodge Roll, but then again, I also voted to buy Water Mastery and it might be worth upgrading that cos the term “Water Mastery” sounds like a boon that could have a really high ceiling, meaning it could evolve into something not so situational if he keeps upgrading it. Idm between those two. Also I’m hesitant to vote for the Invasion Mode cos I just need more info on how that would work: Does he get sent to the Nathir World? Is it more of a guardian type thing, where he has to hunt other invaders? How much info does he get? Does he just get thrown into one of these challenges when the system feels like it or can he choose to take a challenge when he feels like it? Would he get punished for failing, if yes, how (besides death obviously)? I just wanted to clarify why I’m a bit fixated on Water Mastery. To me this sounds like, once upgraded, it could start to give Water Mage-like abilities (and maybe any water manipulation abilities would cost stamina rather than mana or mana cost would be less). If the boon was called “Water Walker”, “Fish Out Of Water”, “Rain Dancer”, or something similar that is in line with the abilities it gives, I wouldn’t be so hot on it. But in my head, any kind of thing like “Water”, “Fire”, “Space”, “Sword”, etc. followed by “Mastery”, sounds like a very high potential boon/skill. Maybe I’m in my own head, being mislead by the words “Water Mastery”, but yeah.

Leveling up the dodge roll boon seems like a good play, especially if it can get around the horrible stamina requirements. Maybe the next level boon lets you chain them together?

Boons being of random rarity means I can't see penny pincher wade spending 7 coins going from common or uncommon up one level when he could use it when he gets something like Leon's boon. We've seen going from tier 3 to 4 is multitudes more powerful than tier 1 to 2 or 2 to 3

Actually, a reasonable person doesn't think himself as an unkillable main character. It's kind of a life insurance policy any reasonable person would take if there's substantial risks involved and there's also enough to invest in the main improvements.

I think he should conserve a few coins but not many so maybe 3 or 5 as a buffer if he does ass in on round. Outside of that I don’t see the need for the resurrection one as he is the Mc and therefore can’t lose the game
