Weekly Update #0??
Added 2024-03-12 06:04:07 +0000 UTCOkay, don't have a ton of time so I'm gonna run through this fairly quick.
To this point in March I've gotten between 13K and 14K words written and/or revised. That includes the tail end of Artemis, a bunch of work on Gold Star pt. 2, and a bit of fresh writing on something else.
Initially I had a bit of a hard time with Gold Star, but starting Friday I really got into a groove that I've been riding since. I don't think that one's to halfway just yet, but I've been making pretty good time on it. Meanwhile, the other big project that's likely to dominate moving forward is getting closer to being formalized. I've got to hammer out just a bit more of my outline and get a finalized agreement in place, but I think I'll be able to get that done this week. It's just a matter of finding the time to work on prep stuff without losing too much ground on actual writing. But, I've been making good daily progress after a few days of cooldown post-Artemis and I'm confident that I'll hit the 40K word floor for this month and optimistic that I've got a good chance of getting past the 50K target.
With two big projects like Artemis and Gold Star coming out so close together it'll probably be a couple weeks before my next release, but I'd guess GS2 is no more than a month away (2/3 or so of initial draft is written and 2/3 of that just needs proofing) and there may well be a short released before that point. The other fantasy one, however, I expect to be very long and thus take a fair while to finalize.
