Now mostly a relic of the past, locally-owned computer stores are such a huge part of our memories here at the Serial Port, as well as for many others who were lucky enough to experience that time period. This is a super fascinating and in-depth look into what it took to run a retail operation during this era.

Super interesting to know what it took to start a computer store. $160,000 in 1994 is worth $337,200 today. The millenium scare impacting sales was something I didn't realize for personal computers.
