I love the "horror sequences" and the fact that this show makes me uncomfortable and often times upset tell me that it's doing it's job and doing it well. Great use of practical effects and Stephen King lore. Incredibly interesting angle with our boi Dick and the team being formed. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all pays off...

Sure thing! I always found the concept interesting and kept noticing it crop up in multiple works by "King", so I figured it would be worth mentioning and explaining.

I've never read King (shocking I know) so I didn't know why everyone kept talking about the turtle although I gathered it offered some form of protection. The first time I came across the whole "world sits on a turtles back" thing was when I read Small Gods by Terry Pratchett. I only later found out that it's an actual creation myth for certain Native American peoples.
