As a viewer, it’s very frustrating to watch a black screen while listening to you describing what you’re seeing/connecting from it. Other than that, very much enjoying your viewing of the series so far

2025-10-18 02:58:13 +0000 UTCSo on Elliot’s morphine + sub: unfortunately I know a little about this from an ex who kicked opiates. Sub is suboxone, it’s usually prescribed to people who are addicted to opiates because it 1) blocks opiate receptors somewhat so either you can’t get high from opiates, or you have to take a really high dose to get as high as you would have before (which is why this can be dangerous when someone isn’t serious about recovery), and 2) it helps mitigate against the worst withdrawal effects. Elliot thinks he has a system figured out, he takes a pretty basic dose of morphine daily (flaw: you don’t really avoid dependency this way), and he only takes it with suboxone as a buffer after to blunt the worst effects (but, the problem here is that as the morphine dependence grows, this will also ensure he feels it less, and it “helps” his anxiety less—it also can have some nasty side effects of its own). I didn’t know this on my first watch, but now, it has me looking at Elliot and his assuring us he has this all figured out (such a smart guy, but thinks morphine is a better fix for anxiety than actual anxiety meds?) a lot more skeptically from jump…

Tyrell Wellick is Swedish not French. Despite his use of French words/terms. Also.. Sweden is not Swiss. That would be Switzerland sir. As the user above said.. His withdrawal meds.. SUB.. or suboxone. He was blasting lines of Morphine not coke. Morphine that he got from Shayla.. he gets it in pill form. You can see him smashing and cutting it up in episode 1. This is how he takes it. I don't believe Elliot ever does coke. He did do Molly in episode 1 though. They show Vera in custody sitting on the sidewalk. I appreciate your note taking.. But I have noticed that sometimes you miss things happening on screen while writing. Just an observation but you missed a lot in this one. Perhaps a digital notepad with voice to text when you hit a button. Could be your "little gay digital notes." Would be extra processing power but could leave it so you dont miss things on screen. But I think the time between the episodes also hurt the recall. Also.. the guy watching Angela is the guy who gave Ollie the CD.. clearly with malware on it.
