Dark - Ep.3X1 "Deja-vu" UNCUT & UNCENSORED

The FINAL SEASON commences! (I appreciate your patience as I took a break between 2 & 3 and have been dealing with copyright/channel issue on YouTube)

We are back and right into the science fiction/mirror-world antics. If you're a fan of "Bioshock Infinite" like I am, then you probably are loving this season as much as I am lol As always, I start out initially worried that the show will throw too much my way, and yet I feel right at home. I'm excited and my curiosity is BEYOND peaked by the story. I have no idea how they're going to wrap this all up in the span of only 7 more episodes, but this show tickles my brain in all the right ways lol So buckle up and strap in as we hope around time AND universes.....

I am rather late to write this comment. But I noticed nobody else wrote you this. I could not help but notice that you frequently forget to have the subtitles on in the intro; and you miss the translations that are provided to you by the show for the quotes at the beginning of the episodes. And I only bring this up now because when you use your translate app, it gave you the incorrect translation of the quote for this episode. The true translation is; Man can do as he wills. But he cannot will what he wills. The distinction is very important.

Love that you mentioned Bioshock infinite in the description. One of my favorite games!

Looking forward to this, since I've actually not seen the third season yet. For some reason or another it's just never happened, I watched your reaction to the previous 2 seasons to catch myself up with the plot once again, and I had a lot of fun doing it. I think I'll watch the third season on here actually, will be interesting to see if we come to different conclusions etc.

People saying you can't take a break between seasons are rediculous and impatient.... . What do you think people did when the show was airing...

Love how excited you are now we're here and things get turned on their head. So many what if's and maybes to be had when you're trying to guess what's the same and what's different. Also, the 'If I'm going out with friends in the dark woods at night I'd bring a side arm with me or something" so American, caught me proper πŸ˜‚

You missed a small but funny easter egg. I'm not going spoil it (unless you want me to), but you may want to watch again that scene at the beginning, where Martha comes to school and they walk in the hallways together with Magnus and Bartosz.

Remember what Claudia said to Jonas in the episode of Michael's suicide? "I've seen the world without you. Believe me, it's not what you'd expect." Sounds like she's exactly right. Great job piecing everything together so far, in a season that confused people a lot more than the others at the start. I think you got pretty much everything you could! And you're asking all the right questions: How or why is old Jonas in 1888? In the version of events where alt-Martha did NOT save young Jonas, what happened to him, did he survive, and if so, how? Rest assured, you'll get your answers!

I think you did really well to pretty much nail the scenario in Eva's world on your first watch. Well spotted, noticing the video transition as we leap between the two worlds. Another clue: just as it's often raining in Adam's world, it's often foggy in Eva's. Oh, and about Eva ... Just as Jonas starts to call himself Adam at a certain point in his character arc, Martha similarly calls herself Eva. They are mirror images of each other. You also asked an excellent question about what happened to young Jonas in the timeline when Martha didn't rescue him - i.e. how did he survive the apocalypse and grow up to become Stranger Jonas? You'll have to wait a bit longer for the answer!

Re: Popularity in Germany I am under the impression DARK the reception was quite the same as everyplace else, overall. Hugely popular in certain circles but not widely known. Suffered from exclusivity to Netflix and from the unfitting advertisement strategy. It was undoubtedly recognized among the production landscape, as the actors involved ended up being cast together afterwards. For example a drama series which cast the Charlotte and young Elisabeth actors again as mother and daughter. Or there's a well-known crime series which had adult Noah's actor as the inspector and an old flame of his being portrayed by the actor of Stranger Jonas. That was ... ODD to watch. Or "The Privilege"! If you're willing to brave a Netflix movie of questionable screenwriting, which has young Noah's, Silja's and [spoiler]'s actor.
