The Last of Us - Ep.2X1 "Future Days" UNCUT & UNCENSORED

Am I ready for this? Yes.... but also no....

Steel your hearts and lock in with me as we journey once more into the next NEW season of "The Last of Us". Whether you've played "Last of Us: Part II" like I have, or are experiencing this story for the first time, welcome! We are all in for quite a ride so join me as I compare, contrast, dissect and let myself become absorbed by these characters once more. Let's delve into what I refer to as a "barometer for empathy". As Anne Rice would say: "Let the tale seduce you...."

Idk, I feel indifferent about the episode. I'm loving the contrast to the game but I'm REALLY surprised they laid all the cards out on the table with Abbey in that beginning scene, felt rushed. I don't know why the audience NEEDED that info right away, especially if they're going to drag out the inevitable with Joel. Hated the line about killing Joel slowly, or even mentioning killing Joel at all. They should of let her intentions cook a bit in my opinion.

I've never played the games. I genuinely despise zombie media. I just happened to give the show a shot on a whim while it was releasing because I was bored and caught up on my other shows. I ended up enjoying it in spite of the zombie stuff. Even now, that's still the worst parts of the show for me by far. I know all of the major spoilers. Back when people were losing their minds over Part 2 I read up on it. I was like, "I'll literally never play these games, spoilers are fine". Now I'm watching the show, whoops. I personally like the introduction of the Salt Lake crew right away. Not just from a damage control sort of idea like you suggested, but also as a kind of dramatic irony. It's a ticking time bomb for the audience. Doubly so for people who already know what it means. I think this will work better for the show-only folks.
