I'm new on this journey, just begun the watch along last week, binge watch may I say, and a few things: 1st. When I started the first episode on my own, I thought no, I need to watch this along with someone, commenting and theorizing, taking this "seriously", I remembered I watched all my interview with the vampire to great satisfaction on this channel, so here I am! Love the pauses, to commensurate, to wonder and mind wander. I may tackle Succession next 😅 2nd. I sympathize with the theory of memory or emotional regulation, some kind of forward treatment for trauma, or bad memories, or guilt. I remember reading a few years back about how some labs were trying to develop a drug specifically targeting erasing bad memories, such as rape, PTSD specific triggering scenes, etc. I don't remember if it was specifically just a drug or a drug+therapy style process, but it was on a serious newspaper, I'm not talking about any conspiracy. 3rd. Long coming: 😃 When we learn English as a second language, at least in my case by British standards, a couple means Two, a few, means between 3 and 5sh/6sh. But it seems there's a different usage of the measures between which "type" of English you are speaking, and at what level of colloquialism it is used. It has always been confusing for me to figure it out immediately, because it so depends of other factors not just a couple, number and meaning. 😅 4th. Thank you 🙏🏽

I've never known what to make of the dead 'seal' in the ORTBO episode but it's covered with swirls of what looks like wet dark hair. I hope it has nothing to do with Gemma. 😔

So much of it reminded me of part of the game Metal gear solid 2 oddly enough. “Given the right conditions, the right story, anyone could be molded into Snake.” The different decades in the room seem like they’re trying to have Gemma recreate a story that may have already been told. Based on Gemma’s style of dress and the decor, Christmas room is the 50s, the dentist in the 60s, the track suit outfits in the 70s, and the plane turbulence in the 80s. The constant references toward birthing makes me think they’re trying to prime a physical rebirth of an Eagan (probably Kier but I don’t know if that makes sense with the decades I mentioned). Everything is “for Kier” though. I also think there is the possibility for Lumon to have the technology for manufactured memories. I don’t think the wreck actually happened, but I think it was meant to reference something that happened to an Eagan at one point.

It’s clear that Gemma is severed an insane number of times and that each room is testing some sort of uncomfortable human experience, and the refiners are involved with creating or maintaining these rooms in some way. But why would Gemma be allowed to leave once it’s all said and done? She won’t be. The new prevailing theory is that Gemma is to become a Siri or Alexa or some mass marketed “Ai” but actually a person tool that people can use to ignore the uncomfortable parts of life with, possibly named “Hannah.”

Denali is also know Mt McKinley in Alaska ,highest mountain peak in US ( I believe ) …. to me that indicates she intended to plan a mountain hiking trip , possibly taking a break from the emotional turmoil of miscarrying and fertility treatments, like Mark said let’s stop. I am more convinced that Lumon snatched her against her will . Maybe when they realized she was moving on from fertility treatments , they took action . Of course just speculation. I have another terrifying thought, when Gemma enters Cold Harbor she will be drowned, that is her final room.
