Trying to destroy or kill a blackmailer is rarely a smart course of action. They could easily have set up some sort of dead-man's switch to reveal the information, which would make that a lose-only scenario for the person being blackmailed. (E.g., an email automatically goes out to press and everyone that contains proof of Aleksander's identity theft, if Hannah doesn't check in to confirm she's alive.) We don't see Hannah set up anything like that, but Aleksander doesn't know she hasn't, so it wouldn't be smart to take that risk. There are really only 2 options: a) Do what she's asking of you. b) Reveal everything yourself so that she no longer has any hold over you, and accept whatever consequences (prison time, lost relationships, etc.) that brings with it.

But he didn't know that he had already caught him, only in the past, when he was younger and Ulrich older. Also Ulrich always blamed Egon to be a useless cop since he didn't find Mads, but Egon did catch Ulrich in the past when he tried to kill Helge. So not so useless cop after all.

2025-02-21 23:48:51 +0000 UTCyou watching these eps makes my week. i've tried to watch other peoples reactions but they don't seem to be catching onto things i thought were pretty obvious before it's fully confirmed, like i did, and like you do and it bothers me for some reason, like i know the show is complex but it bothers me a little. i think it may be because you're the first person i watched react to the show and you picked up on the same things i did so i figured we all did but then i watch others who don't and i'm like ITS RIGHT THEREEE lmao. you've even pointed out stuff i didn't notice like that yasin was the other body found in 1953, when i watched i knew one was erik but i never caught onto the fact we knew the other one too, seems stupid but it took you saying it for me to realise.

2025-02-20 21:18:26 +0000 UTCIf you go back to Ep 7 when Ulrich goes to see Helge in the nursinghome and he's in his bed and he starts to freak out, he tells the nurse to rushes in "I know him! It was him, it was him!" recognising at that point that Ulrich was the man who attacked him as a child, but would have only recognised him due to his current age and state of his beaten up face because shortly after he travels through the door!
