Dark - Ep.1X3 "Past and Present" UNCUT & UNCENSORED

OK, WE ARE FINALLY BACK!!

Between my big move and holiday travels, old MovieMan fell a liiiittle bit behind. But I'm finally starting to get my new office space up and running, so expect more uploads! (ideally, more frequently as well)

Things are getting pretty.... DARK, huh? Poor Mikkel has been yeeted back to 1986! As he attempts to orient himself to the retro version of his hometown, so do I also attempt to orient myself to the family tree of Winden and all the tin foil hat theories that come with it....

(side note, I hope my analysis is still enjoyable here, you would not believe how tired I was when I recorded this lol. I'll be looking up the Family Tree to potentially use going forward as well!)

Great reaction as always. Now about power plants... Have you watched Chernobyl from HBO? Its heavy, but its a great mini series.

Dude, you are an amazing show sleuth! You are so close on a bunch of things! Let’s go! 💙

Agreed! You’ll definitely need a good family tree & the .io site is the best! 🩵

Mizzhoneymy

LOL! Anybody who's able to make a connection from this to Kung Fu Panda earns my 'thumbs up'. Glad you're back, and looking forward to watching more DARK with you.

half german here, don't live in germany but based on my family and the history of germany it's definitely a very historically christian country but atheism/agnosticism is for sure very common.

Ok, so the .io site with the characters should be pretty useful to you for now, trust me this site was my everything while I was watching season 3 lol You input the episode you recently watched and you see a detailed family tree, and you can also click on the character's image to get a timeline for their events. I know you're avoiding spoilers at all costs so this site is the best one around - there may be minor information there that you'll probably won't ever learn in the series (or maybe you will learn briefly in the next seasons), it's usually info gathered in the credits, like minor characters's first names, for example, but they're so minor it really shouldn't count as spoiler for you Rule of thumb: if it is in the dark.netflix.io site and it hasn't appeared in the series yet, it is unimportant enough to be there (i.e. there isn't a lot of theory fuel in them) But if you wish to avoid the site as well, my tip for you is to have a page on your book for each surname you see during the episodes (for example, a page written "Kahnwald" at the top where you can list every character with that surname making a small family tree (Ines -> Michael, Michael + Hannah -> Jonas) and so on. You'll notice some surnames appear more "common" - these are the main families. Although I must say this method will be useful only for now, in later eps it may get too confusing as other characters/versions of old/young characters are being introduced

Watching you react to Dark gets me me back hyperfixating on it! I remember the first time I watched it, I feel down into a deeeep rabbithole and I watched all the three seasons back to back probably around four times 😂

I thought I'd mention that some of the intro starts to make more sense as the series moves forwards if you watch it. As each series progresses it changes and reveals mare than you'd expect! I'm living for your reactions to these episodes 🙌

AngryGreen

Oooh I was waiting for this, I'll be back commenting after I finish lol
