Arcane - Ep.2X6 "The Message Hidden Within the Pattern"

What an absolutely brilliant & gorgeous show :') Things come to a head underneath the city of Piltover. Somehow, this feels like the Season Finale even though we still have 3 MORE TO GO?!

Laughs are had, gasps and smiles ensue, tears to boot. So, with all that being said, let's jump right in!!

See you guys and gals back here next week for ACT III and the conclusion of this series...

I'm so sorry for the text walls lol, I just also want to add anecdotally that the "remember me"/watercolor flashback segment when Viktor's healing Vanderwick is like the hardest I've cried at a show in recent memory. Just destroyed me. Isha sacrificing herself also got to me, but not quite as bad. I had a feeling she wouldn't make it the moment she was introduced-- she was too wholesome! Every single episode while I was watching it with my friends, I kept joking saying she'd explode or something because she's too good of a bean... and so when she actually, GENUINELY exploded, my jaw was on the floor. Like guys, I was KIDDING! T_T

I have so many complex feelings about Ambessa. She's just SO badass! Combining a ruthless warlord with fierce motherly overprotectiveness and love is so unique for a character. I really *really* suggest watching the "Blood Sweat & Tears" cinematic/music video the official League account put up on Youtube if you have the time-- it's like a "lore" music video for Ambessa. It's very cryptic and HEAVY on symbolism. There aren't any spoilers of course, but I definitely think it reveals potentially interesting context about Mel as well if my personal theory is correct! Also, it's made by Fortiche-- the studio that animates Arcane, so it's freaking gorgeous! With both Ambessa and Silco, I LOVE Arcane's "villains". There's so much to unpack with them. So much of Arcane is focused around daughters continuing the legacies of their parents, and I really love how they navigate that with the more morally gray/antagonistic parent characters.

I think you guys would like "The Legend of Vox Machina"
