Nintendo is so stingy and ridiculous with their utter contempt for backwards compatibility, that expecting nintendo to actually do the right thing and release an honest to god premium upgrade to their hardware to actually allow people to keep their games and play them on new hardware in 4k is guaranteed to be a monkey paw wish. They gave the wii backwards compatibility with the gamecube, then took it away with the wii u. They gave GBA compatibility with the DS then took it away with the DSi. Want to transfer pokemon from gen 3 carts to home? Good luck, hope you kept every console to Frankenstein them together. I love nintendo games but god, do i loathe their hardware.
