PLEASE READ! Important Patreon fee changes & taking a month off

As I approach my 3rd full year on Patreon, I'm excited to continue to grow our community! I have 2 important updates related to Patreon for the end of the year:
Beginning in November 2024, if you NEWLY subscribe through the Apple iOS app, Patreon will begin charging you an additional fee!
From Patreon:
"To keep the Patreon iOS app available to all creators on the Apple App Store, Apple is requiring that Patreon use iOS in-app purchases for all new purchases made in the iOS app. Beginning in November 2024 new memberships purchased in the iOS app will be subject to Appleās 30% App Store fee."
That means that if you use the Patreon app on iOS to begin a new subscription to ANY Patreon page, the price of your subscription will go up in November 2024 to cover this fee. This fee does not go to ANY creators, but goes to Apple! If you want to pay the "real" price of a tier, you need to subscribe through Patreon's website and NOT the app.
I'm taking a break from Patreon in December!
I'm going to be pausing my Patreon in December to play catch up and enjoy some extended time off during the holidays. What does this mean?
My Patreon will be temporarily paused from December 1-December 31. That means there will not be a December pattern, sticker, etc. I will be posting the January pattern poll soon, so I can work ahead to get that done and things will resume as normal in January
If you subscribe in November, you'll still be able to access my Patreon posts & Patreon shop in December, but there will be no additional charges and no one can sign up in December
Your billing date will not change when my Patreon resumes normal business in January
My Patreon shop schedule will change as a result: Patreon stickers being released in my shop will now be delayed by 1 month, like my sewing pattern release schedule
I will still release the scarecrow pattern into my Patreon shop on December 1st. You'll still be able to access the shop throughout December, and the password won't change. There just won't be a new sticker to purchase in December!
While I'm not altering my Patreon structure or prices now, I am anticipating having to increase them at some point in the future, as the cost of materials and postage continues to rise!

If you signed up previously through the app and keep your membership without changing it the price should stay the same. If you come and go, though, it will change. This is from the patreon FAQ: Your existing memberships will not be affected by the Apple fee. If a member subscribed to your page in June 2024, for example, in the Patreon iOS app, their future subscription payments will not incur the App Store fee. The App Store Fee only applies to new memberships purchased in the Patreon iOS app starting November 4, 2024. Your current members and new members who subscribe on other platforms (e.g. mobile web, desktop web, or Android) can continue to interact with your works in the iOS app.
