Dragon Disco Diva (anthro story)

Club Dynast was one of the most brilliant, dazzling, and FUNKY dance clubs in all of Ultimus.

The huge interior was mostly covered in a fine red carpet, patterned intricately with various runes in the dragon lexicon. In the very center of the club, there was a massive dance floor, illuminated with many squares of ever-shifting colors. Up above, a disco ball spun about, filling the room with beautiful colors. Gold pillars were erected in the four corners of the dance floor, holding the ceiling aloft like heavenly gates. And dragons of many colors were having a great time, chatting with friends, buying each other drinks, or dancing the night away.

There was a bar in the back of the club, with dragonesses in fancy vests serving the drinks to the patrons. And built onto the side of that bar…. Was a miniature version of Club Dynast. It has the dance floor, the carpet, and even the bar. The only difference were the large walls erected for the humans’ safety, as well as a sound-dampening roof to keep them from being overwhelmed by the funky tunes of the club proper.

And one of the many humans was a guy named Jack.

Jack was technically a free-roamer, but couldn’t help but love the dancing scene. So he lived not too far from Club Dynast, and frequented the club whenever he had the time. He had a rather fine build, built from years of perfecting the art of dance. His blonde hair was styled as best as it could be, and he wore what was, to humans, a rather fancy dancing outfit. And Jack was tearing up that dance floor, just as he did every Friday afternoon.

As one particular song reached its end, Jack spun around and did the split, with a finger pointed into the air. He panted as the song ended, while the humans around him applauded his skill. Jack smiled as he stood up, took a bow, and made his way off the dance floor.

Out of curiosity, Jack looked up to watch as a dragon approached the large bar… and his eyes widened in excitement.

Jack had seen his fair share of dragonesses come to the club in his time dancing there… but there was something about THIS dragoness that made his heart beat. She had fine ebony scales, and dazzling blue eyes. She had a slender figure, but with a bosom and rear that were finely curved. Long blue hair was swept down over the side of her face, and it flowed down to her shoulders like a waterfall. Her talons were finely manicured, and she walked with a grace and majesty that he just couldn’t overlook.

Jack’s heart beat wildly and his legs trembled. He took a step toward the door to step out onto the countertop.

“Where are you heading, Jack?” One of the other guys asked him. They followed Jack’s gaze, and then grimaced. “You might want to rethink this, Jack. Flirting could get you in a lot of trouble.”

“It’s a risk I’m willing to take.” He declared as he stepped out.

Jack tried to keep his cool as he approached the dragoness. She’d yet to notice him, as she was ordering a drink from the bartender. As Jack got closer, he could just barely pick up the perfume this dragoness was wearing. Oh, it was so enticing; his legs wobbled once again as he got close to the dragoness’s purse. The bartender had come back with the dragon, and the black dragoness happily took it. Once Jack was close enough, he slicked his hair back, took a breath, and made his move…

“Hello there.” He called up to the dragoness.

Her eye opened up, and peered right down at him. She then set her drink down, and leaned her head on a hand as she looked him over.

“Well, hello hello.” She said, with a rather enticing and playful voice.

“Are you new to Club Dynast?” Jack asked her. “I’m certain I would have remembered seeing your pretty face before.”

The dragoness chuckled a bit. “You’re an astute one. This is my first time, actually.” She subtly adjusted herself to lean down over Jack. “The name’s Veronica. What’s yours, cutie?”

Jack could hardly believe how well this was going. He put on a confident smile and stepped closer. “I’m Jack. I’m one of the best human dancers in the club.”

“I had a feeling you were one for dancing.” Veronica said as she looked over his suit. “Nobody dressed like THAT is looking to awkwardly lean against a wall all night.”

“Definitely not.” Jack chuckled a bit. “So, what brings you to this neck of Ultimus?”

“Oh, I wanted to check out some new places to hang out…” She traced a finger around the edge of her drink. “Maybe find some nice hot guys for some… quality time.”

Jack raised an eye ridge. “Any particular qualities you looking for in a hot guy?”

“Well…” Veronica playfully tapped her chin. “The original plan was to look for a studly dragon I could dance with… But I’m definitely not against spending time with someone much more… travel-sized.”

The dragoness chuckled and flashed Jack a wink. He grinned at that and stepped even closer; this was going great.

“We can do more than just dance, if you’d like.” Jack declared. “I may not exactly be able to buy you drinks, but you’ll find that I’m a great conversationalist no matter where we go.”

“Oh, are you?” She raised an eye ridge and smiled again. “You’re pretty confident, Jack. I like that in a human.”

Jack grinned and got even closer, so he was practically next to her hand. “So, does that mean you’re interested in a date?”

“Hmm…” Veronica playfully poked her chin once again. “Maybe… but I’m rather hungry… and you’re looking pretty tasty right now.”

Jack shuddered slightly; of course part of him had a feeling that was coming. Dragons ate humans all the time… and here he was, out in the open, where she could easily snatch him up. But Jack didn’t run away, or want to bother begging not to; he always knew, as a free-roamer, someone would come along and gobble him up someday.

“What do you say we make things interesting, Jack?” The dragoness asked.

“What do you mean?” He asked.

“I’m definitely curious about what kind of dancing skills you’ve got.” She smirked. “So… How’s about you challenge me to a dance battle?”

His eyes flew wide. “What?!”

“We’ll dance to see who’s got the most skill.” She continued. “I’m sure it’ll be fun. And, if you happen to win, you’ll get that date you wanted.”

“And… what happens if YOU win?” Jack raised an eyebrow.

The dragoness’s eyes sparkled. “I get to eat you.”

“That… sounds like a hell of a risk to take.”

“Aww, don’t you back out over the chance of becoming lunch.” The dragoness wagged a finger. “You wouldn’t have flirted with me if you weren’t afraid of taking risks.”

“I guess you’ve got me there…” Jack scratched his head. “But how are we supposed to battle, anyway? You can’t fit in the human section, obviously. And if I went out on the dragon-sized floor, I’d wound up squashed flat. Then you wouldn’t even be able to make a snack out of me.”

“Aww, don’t you know about the special accommodations that Club Dynast has?” Veronica asked cutely. “It’s even got a sign about it out front. You’ll be able to dance with me without risk of being made into a pancake…” She held her hand out before Jack. “If you want to dance for that date, just come along.”

Jack looked at her hand, and then up at her. Damnit, even with that hungry look in her eyes, Veronica was still one fine lady of a dragoness. If this had the potential to be Jack’s last dance… then at least he could spend that time dancing with someone beautiful.

“Alright…” He stepped out onto her palm. “You’re on.”

Veronica’s eyes beamed; she looked really excited to dance. She held Jack up carefully, grabbed her purse, and strode her way through Club Dynast. Jack held onto her finger as he looked around at the many other dancers. It seemed like a lot of the dragons were curious and surprised by the pair; Jack couldn’t imagine why.

Veronica made her way around the edge of the dance floor and approached the DJ by the turntable booth. The brown dragon’s eyes lit up in alarm upon seeing her, and he was a stuttering mess as Veronica leaned over the turntable.

“Any chance of getting a private dancing session in a few minutes?” She asked sweetly. “This little human just challenged me to a dance battle.”

The DJ stuttered something as he reached for various buttons on the control console beside him. Once the current song had come to an end, something began to rumble over on the dance floor. Jack turned to watch… and was surprised to see one of the squares rising up from near the center of the dance floor. It was built atop some kind of pedestal, and had its own intricate pattern of square lights.

“Uhh… wh-what song did you want, Miss?” The DJ asked.

“Hail to the Disco Queen.” Veronica said, without skipping a bit. Rightaway the DJ fetched the music to start playing it.

Jack couldn’t help but wonder what was going on. Everyone kept looking at Veronica in awe and reverence as she strutted her way out onto the stage. She placed Jack down carefully on the elevated platform, and he found that he was about even with her waist. He looked all around, and saw that a crowd was quickly forming to watch the dance battle.

“What’s going on?” Jack asked as he looked up at her. “Who ARE you to these guys?”

Veronica simply chuckled and made her way across the stage to get ready. “Maybe I’ll tell you… if you can win.”

The moment she was in place… the music began.

Jack’s ears perked up; he’d only vaguely recalled the track. It wasn’t something they played very often in Club Dynast… but when it played, everyone loved it was wild, vibrant, and catchy as hell. Already Jack could feel his muscles twitching in preparation of dancing to the beat.

And then… everything became a blur.

Jack lost himself to the incredible music as his body got to work. He swayed, he pointed, he did the splits… all in tune to the music. Jack moved back and forth and up and down, with every step of his feet being in tune to the music. The crowd of dragons were chattering and cheering in delight of the dancing. Jack had a confident smile; it felt so nice to dance in front of a crowd.

But then Jack turned his gaze over to Veronica… and he understood why they were cheering. Veronica’s dress, as it turned out, was designed for dancing in mind… and boy, did her legs move wide. She swayed her body in much the same way that Jack did. Her eyes were shut, her arms were raised, and a beautiful smile creased her muzzle. The dragoness had given her body and soul to the music just like Jack had. Back and forth, up and down… every movement of Veronica’s body was like a work of art. Jack almost stopped to watch herself…

But no! That was not what a true dancer did. Even ignoring what was on the line, Jack’s body demanded to MOVE. And so he continued to dance on, to put on the performance of his life. Even if he was going to lose to Veronica, even if he would be ending the night in her belly… he wanted every dragon here to watch him… to remember him, and how much he loved to perform.

Soon the song hit its final fever pitch, and Jack made to perform the final dance move; a split with a finger pointed skyward. He spun about, spread his legs, and pulled off the final move with perfection. Jack’s body was sweating, and he panted heavily. His heart had never beat so fast. And as the music stopped, and the crowd cheered for the performance, Jack cast his gaze over at Veronica once again.

Unlike Jack, Veronica looked like she wasn’t tired in the slightest. She just stood up, brushed her hair behind her head, and took a bow before the crowd, all with the same grace and confidence as when she started. The crowd applauded her as she spun about and blew them a few kisses. Then, the black dragoness cast her gaze down at Jack, and he realized that it was all over now.

Veronica approached the platform as the music shifted to a calmer song for everyone else to dance to. The dragoness held out a hand, and Jack wearily made his way to her palm. The platform then lowered, and Veronica held Jack up as she walked off the dance floor.

“You’re a very talented dancer.” She said with a smile. “Even with no formal training, you’ve got the moves of a real pro.”

“Thanks…” Jack said as he panted a bit. “But I guess even that wasn’t enough to outperform you.”

“Maybe not…” Veronica chuckled a bit. “But you came close. And that’s more than can be said for a lot of people.”

“Heh…” Jack leaned back and took a few more breaths. “Well, I guess we both know what happens next.”

“Yeah…” Veronica leaned against the wall and smiled down at him. “So… where would you like to go on our date?”

“Huh?” Jack blinked and looked up at her. “But… I lost. You’re going to just eat me now, aren’t you?”

“Now, why would I hurry up and eat such a wonderful, flirtatious cutie such as yourself?” Veronica tilted her head. “That’s no fun. I’ve only just met you, after all.”

Jack blinked in confusion. “So… You mean you wanted that date from the start? Then why did you have me go through the dance battle, then?”

Veronica simply chuckled and winked. “I wanted to see what you could do. And boy, you’re one hell of a dancer, Jack.”

Jack blushed a bit, and worked to stand up. “Well… then I guess we’ll head on out to that date, then? I don’t really know a lot of fancy places.”

“Hmm... I think I know a place or two to head out to.” Veronica said. “Let’s just get you tucked away somewhere nice and… safe.”

Veronica carefully opened the front of her dress. Before Jack could realize what was happening, the dragoness stuffed him down into her cleavage. He found himself snuggled up tight in a nice little pocket, where he was curled up into a ball. It was dark, sure… but very warm. He couldn’t help but relax in delight as Veronica peered down at him.

“I’ll get you out of there once we’re at the place.” She declared. “Until then… enjoy your stay.”

With that, Jack was left to sit in warm darkness; he was lightly bounced up and down with her every step.

Jack couldn’t help but sigh in relief; he’d had a great time dancing and was off to enjoy a great evening with a lovely dragoness. He might end up eaten later… but he was still fine with that. Veronica seemed like the perfect dragoness to gobble him up. What more could a free-roamer ask for?
