New Nudge in the Spoopy Month!

I'll keep an eye on the comments here, so anyone with anything they'd like to see me write as a peek, please post here, even if you've posted it before. I can be a bit scattered at times, so most often I've simply missed your question if you've posted it and I haven't responded. Thank you again for all the support!

With there being only one protoge at a time makes sense. That's often teaching your successor from my understanding. So what about wards? People you take in and teach a bit, but not everything. More it's to provide them with connections and familial bonds to those who aren't blood. Traditionally helping to bind a kingdom together. Could this somehow be used with Scions? Lending them amongst the dungeons in an alliance? Each house (dungeon) remains it's own and under it's own power. Yet they learn more about one another and benefit each other. If this was allowed, would the "ward" scion be able to speak temporarily? Or would they follow the voice of the dungeon they've temporarily joined for a bit? Is this secretly what the evil dungeon has with the flesh blob (I can't remember it's name! Too early in the day!) and the one dungeon just hasn't noticed? Aka, this role could be used to sabotage and manipulate too. I'm just curious if this is a thing.

Another peek idea: The dwellers of hullbreak! So much has changed for them and a lot of them had very mixed feelings on Thedeim. Do the older generations still feel like Thedeim is trying to play a long con? Do they feel like Thedeim did it just to gain the extra mana? How are they adjusting to new roles? Last idea: Jello! I love me some Jello peeks! I wanna know if they is discovering how to form the hard edges for a cube. I figure that she has taken a liking to metalworking because it is about shaping it, and is trying to use that to help her figure out how to make a square.

2023-10-06 05:31:05 +0000 UTCThere’s a lot of really good suggestions that I’d hate to detract from, like the peak about the kobolds of the maw. personally however I would like to see occasional comments from the point of view of a traveler of the kingdoms. It would be a great POV from which to answer a lot of these questions, set up descriptions of different places in the kingdom that we have heard of but haven’t seen and flesh out the the cultures of these lands. Bonus points if he is a scion scout for the traveling dungeon.

If he waited until one was fully upgraded and was spawning semi sentient denizens, what would happen?

Do changeling dwellers come from the mimic spawner? Is Aberration a category of denizen? Do Beholders/Eye Tyrants, Kuo-toa/Deep Ones, and/or Mind Flayers/Illithids exist in your setting? If so, are they denizens or dwellers? Are owlbears a thing in your setting?

Close for a day to spookify things up a little and maybe make some special loot (glowing potions with strange effects?) And then open for kids only, no adults allowed - have it all as games/events rather than fights etc. - spiders web trampolines/kid fight pit - catch as many hands as you can in 10 minutes - pin the tail on the zombie - roast marshmallows on the lava wyrms - maze horde mode Etc? Would be interesting to see if the town trusts him enough to do it...

What type of days have special meaning to them? Religious, based on their many believes? Ruling based, like birthday of a King or the freeing of a war? Nature based like new years, first day of spring, equinox? What would those celebrations look like? Special food, dressing up, dancing in the town square, exchanging gifts, singing specific songs, other things I hadn't thought about.... Though I guess mostly I am wondering what the characters would dress up like if they do have a costume party like Halloween sometimes can be XD

Peek suggestion: Show a delve of a regular dungeon elsewhere in the world. We've seen how they go in our protagonist dungeon, and in ones under their supervision. How would a regular delve go?

Assuming the Harbringer is only the scouting force for an Elderitch entity; does that entity have other, unknown, understanding of vastly different fundamental forces?
