AATS - THE SECOND EPISODE | JANUARY PROGRESS

JANUARY PROGRESS

During January, I began animation on this monster of a scene.
For scene 4, I completed 80% of the rough animation, 15% of Keyframes, and 8% of animation. I also went back to scene 3 to composite a few more shots, pushing the scene completion to 90%. I'd say this was one of my most productive months yet!
 


This scene is truly going to test my capabilities and while it is exciting to work on, it is also a bit more tedious and stressful than what I'm used to. This scene includes an action sequence that has shots involving multiple moving characters on top of moving objects and also involves a lot of complex movements. Not to mention, this entire scene alone is one of the longest I've worked with yet, coming to a total of 9 minutes. I believe I can pull this off and It'll be so worth it for the end result.

The good news is that once this scene is out of the way, I won't have to worry about any more super complex animation! That's kind of why I chose to work on this scene now rather than later, I can get this out of the way now so future me can relax lol.

I've also discovered that this episode will most likely have a runtime of 33 - 35 minutes depending how the pacing works out. No matter what, it'll definitely be longer than episode 1 was which is crazy to think about.

FEBRUARY GOALS
I plan to get majority of the animation complete for sequences 2,3,4 and 5 of scene 4 as well as finish up what little rough animation I have left to do for this scene. I hope to get the rough animation for scenes 5 and 6 completed as well.
