Groot is such a little cutie. This collection of shorts was so fun to watch and has gotten me in the mood to see the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Can't wait for season 2!

2025-03-31 22:12:04 +0000 UTCI feel like James Gunn perfectly captures the cosmic side of Marvel, and all these Guardians projects, including I Am Groot showcase this amazingly. Fun fact: 20th Century Fox actually offered Gunn the chance to write and direct a Silver Surfer film, I want to say back in 1999 but the movie was never made. I would’ve loved to see him direct a Silver Surfer film now that Marvel owns the rights, but since he’s now the head of DC Studios, I doubt he’ll be working with Marvel anytime soon. There was an amazing Silver Surfer animated series in 1998, something like that within the MCU would be fantastic. It would be the perfect show/movie to explore more of Marvel’s cosmic universe. Even a Special Presentation like Werewolf by Night or the up in coming Punisher Special Presentation would be amazing as well.

Baby Groot does not have the memories of adult groot So adult Groot died in the first guardians movie, and the one we’ve been following from guardians 2 to endgame ans beyond is groot 2 James Gunn (director of guardians of the galaxy) said that baby Groot is the original groot’s son
