This movie was absolutely incredible. Gritty, heartfelt, deeply sad, but also very inspirational. The cast was incredible. This really was a Cinderella story!
At the end of my review, I looked into the real James J. Braddock's life. He was such an interesting person. I included pics of his family along with real footage of his fight with Baer if you want to see that.
Interestingly, I found this interview with Baer's son. He talked about how his dad wasn't a disliked person in real life and was only made to be a villain for this movie. If you want to know more about it, I'll link the video here. https://youtu.be/gF1RZY4j0O0?feature=shared
